On Wednesday, after my blood clots were confirmed, we went to see some Henderson's Shooting Stars at a spot where they come up every year. In a park, and close to parking so doable for me. It was good to see some of these spring ephemerals I keep talking about. After a quick meander and photo session, I was done though.
Thursday was my third round of chemo, third of 8 total but third of 4 rounds of Doxorubicin. The red stuff. This is the chemo drug I get because I'm “healthy for a cancer patient” and I'm curious to see if the next drug combo feels easier.
The husband and I played Forbidden Island and Astronomy Fluxx and ate snacks. It's funny how quickly this stuff turns to routine.
The steroids are definitely helping my cough, and the blood thinners have cleared up the blockage, so I'm definitely feeling better than I was on Wednesday. I've been able to be a little productive and my fatigue is strong but I'm feeling comparatively good.
I've told a couple of people I haven't talked to in a while, and a few folks have reached out to me, which is lovely. Cancer is taking up most of my life right now, but I still want to be around people to some extent. I'm happy when y'all say hello. I want to reach out more than my energy levels will allow, though.
Thanks for reading, I love you all <3
